Eastwood Volunteer Bureau & Food Bank

Whether you need a little help, or would like to offer yours, Eastwood Volunteer Bureau & Food Bank brings local people together to support one another across Eastwood and surrounding Nottinghamshire communities.

Welcome to Eastwood Volunteer Bureau & Food Bank

Sometimes we need a bit of help. Sometimes we're in a position to give it.

The Eastwood Volunteer Bureau & Food Bank are here to support local residents with everyday challenges – whether that’s access to food, a friendly face to talk to, or help getting from a-to-b.

We’re a community-run service, powered by volunteers, offering practical help, friendly support, and a listening ear – without judgement and without fuss.

Our service is built around kindness, dignity, and compassion.

If you need support, we’re here. If you’d like to help others, there’s a place for you too.

Every Friday we gift up to 40 food parcels to those in need. If you’d like access to our food bank, you must complete an assessment and meet our eligibility criteria.

Getting to important appointments at the doctors, hospital, dentist or simply just shopping or visiting friends is not always easy. Our Volunteer drivers will help you get where our need too be safely, comfortably and with dignity.

We thrive on human interaction! If you’d like a cuppa and a natter, someone to help finish that jigsaw puzzle, or an hour of companionship, we’re here for you.

After retiring, and losing my mum, I wanted to follow in her footsteps and give something back - I applied as a Volunteer Receptionist at Eastwood Volunteer Bureau & Food Bank, and have been in (and loving) the role ever since.

Decades of experience in PR, Comms, and Digital Marketing has helped me to gain much needed exposure for EVB, resulting in many donations - something I'm very proud of.

I meet so many amazing and inspiring people through the bureau - and it feels so good to know we're making a difference to people's lives.

Thinking of becoming a volunteer? Do it!
